Regulated ProfessionsAppraisers, Real EstateEducation APPROVED EDUCATION FOR MISSOURI: Approved Pre-License Education Approved Continuing Education If the education course taken is not on the approved listing for Missouri then it will not be accepted toward licensure or continuing education. PRE-LICENSE EDUCATION: The Commission has a policy (May 2003) to NOT accept any pre-license on-line courses. In addition, the Commission has a policy (July 2003) to NOT accept on-line USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) education. Courses must be a minimum of fifteen (15) hours in length and must include an exam at the conclusion of the course. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE: New Applicant Requirements Effective July 1, 2007 AQB Matrix CONTINUING EDUCATION: All licenses issued after July 1, 2008 and before June 30, 2010 will have the expiration date of June 30, 2010 and will be required to have the 28 hours of continuing education. Courses must be a minimum of two (2) hours in length. Missouri requires that real estate appraisers complete a minimum seven (7) hour course on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update. Appraisers must complete a USPAP update course during each renewal period. ATTENTION COURSE PROVIDERS: Please be advised that effective July 1, 2007 the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission will require that all pre licensure education courses be pre-approved by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) prior to submitting the information to the Commission for review. As a provider you will need to submit proof of AQB approval with the information you submit to the Commission for review.
